Hello, my name is Scott Hertzberg. I am a vegetable farmer who lives in West Haven. I enjoy learning about local history and have some experience advancing historical preservation projects. We perserved our farm from subdivision together with the Vermont Land Trust and obtained a grant from the State of Vermont to restore two old barns on the farm.
This month, I start as the executive director of Clarendon Heritage. I look forward to working with the Historical Society of Clarendon, Nicolette Asselin and everyone else interested in learning about and preserving the town’s history and historical buidlings.
My first goal is to help coordinate the restoration and repurposing of the North Clarendon Chapel (Chapel 1871). Clarendon Heritage recently put out a request for proposals to restore different parts of the Chapel. With support from the community, hopefully before long we can we complete the restoration and repurposing of the Chapel into a community center serving seniors and other people in the community.
Please reach out to me if you have any questions, suggestions or want to introduce yourself. I can be reached at Scott.Hertzberg@ClarendonHeritage.org or at 877-599-2591 (extension 204).
Best Regards,
Scott
